Lions Club Pancake Breakfast
Enjoy a great start to Canada Day with a delicious breakfast served by the local Lions Club. 
11th Annual Fishing Derby
Children under 10 are invited to test their fishing talents at this fun annual event - prizes and lots of family fun! Register on site.

Opening Ceremonies & Cake Cutting
Enjoy the ceremony with the flag raising a piece of cake and O Canada sung by local talent and UBC grad Christina Cichos.

Community Showcase
Our Showcase promises to be as entertaining as ever with a variety of entertainers featuring International cultures and local talents. Including a special concert by children’s entertainer Will Stroet using both official languages.

Children's activities - Have your face painted, enjoy the creation station, bouncy castles and a climbing wall all for free!

International bazaar - Celebrate Canada’s Diversity at the International Bazaar experience other cultures and enjoy the displays and onsite concessions with many with international treats. This area funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Firefighters' Salmon Barbecue

This Canada Day favourite is being served once again by our local firefighters. Proceeds go to the Burn Fund and usually is a sell out!

Parking Restrictions and Shuttle Service

FREE Shuttle Service
A free shuttle bus service will be provided between Castle Park and the West Coast Express parking lot on Kingsway Avenue, every half hour from 11:30 am to midnight. Extra free parking is available at the Port Coquitlam Recreation Complex, 2150 Wilson Avenue.

Parking Restrictions near Castle Park: 6 pm to midnight

 No Stopping 6 pm - midnight 
  • Along the north side of Citadel Drive
    (from the east leg of Castle Crescent to Pitt River Road)
  • Along both sides of Castle Crescent
  • Along both sides of Citadel Drive from Confederation Drive to Castle Crescent (east leg)

Temporary Street Closures, 6 - 11:30 pm

  • Citadel Drive from Pitt River Road to Confederation Drive
  • Colonial Drive from Citadel Drive to Moody Court
  • Castle Crescent

Vehicles will be towed at owner's expense if parked in prohibited areas.
