Rivers and Trails Festival
Come Celebrate our Rivers and Trails on the last Sunday of September each year!
Port Coquitlam takes great pride in the fantastic Rivers and Trails system we have surrounding our community. On September 25th there are two ways to get out and appreciate them:
The day starts at Hyde Creek Centre at 8:00am with the Trail River Run - Half Marathon, 10K, and a 5K Junior, registration in is required and more information can be found at www.trioevents.ca or call TRIO Sport Events: 604.782.5432
At noon The Rivers and Trails Festival take place in Peace Park 1470 Kebet Way right on the Pitt River. Activities at this free community event include hands-on displays, entertainment, worm composting, demonstrations, a concession by the Port Coquitlam Lions Club. Scheduled activities are below;
- Noon: Opening Ceremony
- 12:30 pm: Copper Sky www.copperskymusic.com
- 1:00 pm: The Ta Daa Lady Story Telling Session in the Nylon Zoo
- 1:30 pm: Guided Nature Walk with Burke Montain Natualists
- 2:15pm: The Ta Daa Lady Show
- 3 pm: Copper Sky
- 3:15pm: The Ta Daa Lady Story Telling Session in the Nylon Zoo
